The Cotswold AUTOSPRAY fully automatic teat spraying system is designed to spray approved dairy chemicals onto the teats of cows and heifers as they pass through the cattle race, either before or after* milking.
Overall economies are high, because of the huge reductions in direct labour costs.
Once set , the chemical spray pattern remains constant, and each animal receives the same treatment.
In addition to cost savings there is an important health benefit -

As the cow leaves the beam, the spray head (which is set further into the cattle race, level with the teats) sprays for a preset period, then primes itself ready for the next cycle.
This method copes well with long or short cows, or cows which stop in the cattle race.
A built in delay allows humans to pass through without triggering the spray.
Manual and electronic adjustment is built into the system, to cater for different

AutoSpray is not a substitute for good husbandry. Even when using the AutoSpray, it is essential that normal standards of hygiene are maintained at all times. As with manual spraying, if any infection enters the herd, additional or supplementary spraying or dipping may be required until it subsides.

The AutoSpray and MooJet may not always achieve sufficient coverage of an animal’s teats to effectively disinfect them every time she passes through (especially if the animal has misplaced or misshapen udders).
We give no guarantee that the AutoSpray or MooJet will prevent mastitis outbreaks from occurring. Regular monitoring of somatic cell counts is essential during use of the AutoSpray or MooJet, reversion to manual dipping is advised to control any infections which do occur.
The manufacturers accept no liability for any loss or damage in connection with any failure of the AutoSpray or MooJet to prevent mastitis or other infections.

IMPORTANT
The standard AutoSpray is not designed for use with hypochlorite, or hypochlorite based chemicals. Please ask at the time of ordering if you need to use hypochlorite.
The Cotswold AutoSpray or MooJet does not include the cattle race. Full details of ideal size/shape/construction of race is included in the installation manual, a copy of which can be obtained from Cotswold at any time.
